College World Series

Does anyone follow this or go out and watch it? It seems like it would be fun to head out there and enjoy a day or 2 of baseball. This is the final week of the regular season before conference tourneys start

Been there seven years in a row now and plan on keep comin back. Cheap baseball $7 GA plus opening weekend festivities... = one of the best times of the year. can't wait.

The College World Series is an absolute blast. It is a great atmosphere and you will get to see some great teams. Be warned though that attending and watching the CWS will excite you about baseball and probably **** you off that ISU had to drop their program.

tailgating is a blast. unfortunately they have started cracking down on it per ncaa request so we have been moving it further and further from the stadium each year.

my favorite part is picking out a team to root for and buying a hat and t-shirt each year then having them lose early.

Try buying an LSU hat and t-shirt. I don't think they can be jinxed.

If LSU (or Texas) is in town and it is your first CWS I would def wear either of those teams... as their fans are great and may give you food and booze.

Rice and LSU are my all-time favorites, but when I pick a team it is usually an underdog.

The CWS is just an unreal time. The tailgating, the fans, the NCAA zone, and the baseball make it my favorite sporting event to go to every year. If you are only going to go to for a couple days I would recommend the first weekend so you are guaranteed 2 games each day and get to see every team and it is when the most fans are there.

Growing up in SW Iowa my family went to a couple games but not on a regular basis or anything. My brothers and I were young enough that we didn't tailgate or anything, but I remember it being a good time.

Won't make it to the CWS this year, but I will be at the Big 12 tournament this week. It's also a great time on a smaller scale.

I don't watch any MLB, so the CWS marks the end of the baseball season in our house.

Always a good time at the CWS. I'm coming back to Omaha for opening weekend.

I will be disappointed when the series moves to the new stadium. Going to lose a lot of tradition and memories.
