Pardon the grammar, but Bigknowledge over on Chicago hoops knows what he's talking about....it looks like there was some pretty bad stuff going down at Simeon, to say the least. :no:Quote:

Rose Stuf http://forums.chicagohoops.com/templ...icon_quote.gif Here's the deal peeps, allegedly Kevin Johnson (former Simeon Basketball Player) who went out to that suburb and robbed that pizza boy or that boy period, was the one who took the test for Derrick Rose to get into college. Once D. Rose made it to the league allegedly Kevin was lookin for some kickback you know some help from D. Rose. They say the Rose family cut him off so Kevin was hot. Also, D. Rose use to play for coach L. Topps on his AAU team. Once Derrick made it to the league Derrick signed with Nikey and Topps got him a nice job with nikey. After workin with Nikey for a year allegedly Topps was fired from the administration, who got him fired, I will not go there but you can put 2 and 2 together to make 4.
I heard who did it but I'm not going there and I'm sure you can put the puzzle together by yourself from here. Now Coach Topps is ****** off too now. Now they say 4 players on the Simeon team that year had their grades changed as well as Derrick Rose, they say he had D's changed to C's so he could get into a D1 college (Memphis) without any hassal. Looks like all the adminstration ova at Simeon is on the budweiser hot seat. They say they are looking into taking back those 2 state and city championships Simeon won during those years. This is some hot stuff man. I didn't know it was this big.
Calipari's twitter status. I really feel like asking: Of points on the SAT, Money to recruits, or both?Quote:
We all need to be Givers. The greatest achievers in our history have all been Givers, NOT Takers.
I agree that the title of the thread is not accurate. What were the recruiting violations? He had an invalid SAT.
Coaches know whats going on with a players eligibility...It's their job to know. But it's hard to PROVE they know.
If a University hires a coach who has previously been in trouble with the NCAA, that is their right to do so...but their punishment should be more severe if they get in trouble under that coach IMO...Harrick and Sampson come to mind getting in trouble multiple times...schools know what they are getting hiring these guys, and they shouldn't be treated the same if they get in trouble under them...
Evansville's previous coach said it best..."Cheat all you want and you'll always be able to find work...but if you lose, nobody wants you."
We should be worrying a lot more about high school drop-outs and juvenile delinquents than forcing sports stars to attend universities...
Guess what - there are rules in place - rules that the NBA Players' Union agreed to. If the Players' Union largely has no complaint about these rules that are in place, then I absolutely see no problem with them.
I couldn't care less about the NBA Players Union - I care about the rights of high school kids who aren't cut out for college but are forced to attend them for at least one year, because of the cozy $$$ relationship between the NCAA and the NBA. I don't care if it's Rose, Jamal Tinsley, or Harrsion Barnes.
Also, this is a pretty serious charge concerning grade-fixing and an SAT stand-in. As opposed to others such as you, I'm waiting for the proof...
Memphis Tigers find no proof Derrick Rose cheated on SAT - ESPN
Well, now that Memphis has said they can't find any evidence that they cheated I guess we can put this to rest. I mean, surely they would try their very hardest to find this information that would bury their school, right?
Leave Memphis alone!!!
Get back to 24/7 satellite surveillance of ISU's foreign basketball players.
So HB will not go to Memphis, Kentucky, or USC due to the slime effect.
