Calipari recruiting violations
False SAT scores. Memphis will never be relevant again. Kentucky should get rid of him immediately or they are going to be the next Indiana. Report: NCAA accuses Memphis men's basketball of major violations - ESPN Kinnick smells like syrup. -
Re: Calipari recruiting violations
Curious how this came out now after he left the school, NCAA is a joke

Re: Calipari recruiting violations
After reading the article, looks like the title of this thread is highly inaccurate. I wonder why Calipari is not named in the report?

I heard the update on ESPN and they said recruiting violations at Memphis under Calipari. Is it possible for him not to be involved, would it even be a surprise to anyone considering what he did at Memphis?

Re: Calipari recruiting violations
Sounds like the two players it could have been are Derrick Rose or Jeff Robinson, who transferred to Seton Hall.

Re: Calipari recruiting violations
If Calipari is involved this is just another example that sanctions should follow a coach TOO.

That being said, Kentucky has to be shaking in their boots right now. This would be their second coach with questionable ethics (I'm giving Tubby the benefit of the doubt). How long will those fans put up with their program being tarnished.

Maybe I missed the part of the story where he is linked to what happened? I thought it said he was not named in the report?

Re: Calipari recruiting violations
Here is what I think is going to happen to Calipari, NOTHING. The NCAA recognizes a money maker....and they will probably sweep his involvment under the rug....and let him make money for the NCAA, the SEC and the tourney all-together because he is at one of the "so-called" classic teams in basketball.
Calipari means victories, media attention.....bringing a classic school's basketball team back to glory equalling in $$$. He will probably not have anything happen to him just because of all this-
I for one can not stand Calipari. He is dirty, and has had numerous "questionable" events at the institutions where he has coached. But, since he is a money maker......the NCAA will make it sound like it was nothing he did or had any knowledge.

Re: Calipari recruiting violations
This guy is a walking violation. Every stop he has had issues. NCAA is pathetic.
