    Tennessee QB got Death Threats Last Year

    Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Jonathan Crompton received death threats in 2008 - ESPN

    Some people on here think that we're being too hard on players and coaches, but then you see things getting taken to a new level.

    I hope you guys realize that even the most negative Cyclone fan on this site wouldn't go as far as this.

    So what I'm getting is, as long as we dont make death threats we can make any negative remark we want?

    I could see a few possibly being this crazy on this board actually, and you never know about the people that dont post and just browse the boards.

    What I am saying is that while some may make some critical comments of players, they aren't threatening, nor are they death threats, but they are treated like such. I was using an example of a very real and frightening situation to show how far some take it.

    I don't know any ISU fans that would ever do anything as stupid as that. In '05 & '06 though, I my head would nearly explode every time Bret Meyer would run out of bounds instead of fighting for the extra yard or two that it seemed we always needed. I tried to confront him at Sips in Ames about this once, but he averted me and ran sideways into the bathroom.
