Jeff Jordan Quits Illini BB Team

FYI for those of you that thought it would have been a big deal to have MJ hanging around ISU BB.

Michael Jordan's son quits Illinois basketball team - The Dagger - NCAA Hoops - Rivals.com

He never played. He sat on the bench. Plus Marcus Jordan would have played more for Iowa State then Jeff was going to for Illinois.

I find it funny that he did this right after Illinois gave him a full ride for Basketball.

it's got to be hard for those kids. Remember Montana's oldest son quit at ASU last year.

Could be if he didnt gamble so much.

"But I have come to the point where I'm ready to focus on life after basketball. I will concentrate on earning my degree from the University of Illinois and the opportunities that await upon graduating."

I'd much rather hear that, than "I'm not getting enough playing time, so see you later."

I would rather he be honest and say, "Look, I am the son of MJ. I already have a lot of luxuries so I dont need to waste my time busting my butt when I could party and get lucky with co-eds."

Or maybe he wants to concentrate on his education. Maybe that is important to him. I think you taking shots at him because of his father is uncalled for.

Yeah, he actually seemed due for more playing time and despite not scoring a lot was contributing.

very surprised here, being an illini fan I thought he was pretty good and could get more playing time potentially. But he isnt an NBA player, so if he wants to focus on school thats pretty cool to me
