Agreed, love this show... no Saturday morning is complete without Lee Corso making his mascot head pick. Comparing him to Lou Holtz is a tragedy; although he is aging, he is infinitely more enjoyable to watch. Holtz has the TV personality equivalent of a rock.

Lou's Pep Talk is the 3 greatest minutes of unintentional comedy on TV every single week, BAR NONE.

Played a drinking game once with a buddy, every time Lou said "men" during one of his Pep Talks, you had to take a drink. In a matter of 3 minutes, I think we took about 18 drinks.

Haha, they kicked Howard off of the set so Chipper Jones could make some picks.

College Gameday is over-hyped.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -

That being said, I think it might be time for Corso to hang it up. I'm watching today and I can't tell if he's sick or just lost his voice or something, but he sounds terrible, and he's yet to say anything of significance, and sounds confused/unsure when he's making his arguments.
Corso is a legend and everyone loves when he dons the mascot attire at the end of the show. He's gotten to that point where he's almost laughed at more than he's taken seriously though (The Lou Holtz Factor).
I doubt ESPN will replace him any time in the next 5-10 years, but I wouldn't mind seeing DiNardo from the B10 Network on there. no doubt, i love this show

I love this show its the best pre game show I love how they take it over the nation to big games every Sat. I just wish they would stop going to a school more than once every year

Re: ESPN Gameday
I like the fact that they put a team on upset alert Corso put LSU on it today. I want to see a line on that game please

Re: ESPN Gameday
Whatever the case, I'd respect Gameday a lot more if it wasn't for the fact that every 5 minutes they kept saying that "College football absolutely needs name of school here to be good again" (as in Florida St, Miami, Michigan, etc.). How 'bout I reprase it for you? "ESPN needs name of school here to be good again so we don't have to feel guilty about covering our select few schools."

I think it is incredible how he and Peter Gammons have been able to come back from strokes to do their jobs on ESPN.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

He's a special person and a special player. I think Florida will win again this year. But even if they don't Tebow will arguably be the best college football (not just QB) player ever...look at his stats for goodness sake!
ESPN and all the other broadcast media give us a heavy dose of Tebow for one prime reason...he gets ratings...people are watching either because they love him or because they hate him...but, make no mistake, they are watching.
