Anybody else check this game out on FSN. Video is HORRIBLE! Is this what our game is going to look like?!?

That game was on Fox College Sports (which I'm assuming is about the lowest rung on the Fox Sports ladder. ISU-Iowa is on the national network, and will be in HD, according to this and this.

Anyway, here's some things ISU fans might want to know about the KU-N. Colo. game:

KU took about half of their snaps from the pistol. Reesing lines up about 3 yards behind center, Sharp about 3 yards behind Reesing.
- This comes heavily from Nevada's offenses of recent years; Mangino and OC Ed Warriner met with the Nevada staff during the offseason to get the ins-and-outs
- The main advantage the staff likes from the pistol is it gives Sharp a better running start and more time to see holes develop
KU's defense is going to be about 50-50 between a 4-3 and 4-2-5. Although Northern Colorado only put 3 points on the board, I'm still concerned that this group could let many opponents put big numbers on the board.
Freshman WR Bradley McDougald, a dropped Ohio St. commit, is looking like he'll be the next great KU WR, and he should add a solid 4th option to what was already one of the best receiving cores in the country.
Freshman RB Toben Opurum, who had offers from Florida and Notre Dame, among others, should be the backup RB, and will probably get about 10-12 carries a game as the season goes on.
Freshman QB Kale Pick, whose dad played at ISU, looks at the moment to be the heir apparent to Reesing. He didn't show much in the air, but has a nice set of wheels.
Overall, it was kind of hard to see much because N. Colo. (a) is really bad, and (b) spent most of the game on defense dropping 8 guys in coverage.

Reesing is a playmaker, and doesn't get the national respect that he deserves IMO.

"The next great KU WR"?!! I knew that they had Gale Sayers and John Riggins, but I'm pretty sure that KU hasn't had any great wide receivers...
