Big 12 TV
As if we need more evidence the Big 12 TV package sucks nut.
Big 10 creates its own network, but here in KC I am stuck watching Big 10 FB on ESPN and ESPN2.

Re: Big 12 TV
Watching big10 in HD right now because none of the big12 games are even on TV. Going to have to watch Iowa tonight instead of ISU.

Re: Big 12 TV
We could have a Big 12 network if Texas and OU didn't want to hog all the $$

Re: Big 12 TV
Also why would Texas and Oklahoma want other teams to be on TV if they can help it. That gives those other teams a chance to show off their stadiums to potential recruits

Cymaster, how is the picture quality on Clone Zone and how big is it? I keep thinking about subscribing but I'd just as soon listen to the radio if it's just a small picture with out of sync sound.

Re: Big 12 TV
CloneZone was good for NDSU

Re: Big 12 TV
Even when Big 12 games are on, the producton quality is often lacking. I like watching games in HD!

Re: Big 12 TV
Clonezone beats sitting in the dark.
I actually think it's worth it due to the fact that you get J. Walters and E. Heft doing the pregame and post game. The picture isn't uber by any means (still not bad), but like I stated earlier, it's better than sitting in the dark.

If the Big 12 had a network (and there were enough TV sets to watch it), every school would get more money. Also, the network is not going to be FB exclusive. It would need to show something other than FB from December through August. It would permit Texas, OU and all the other Big 12 schools to generate more revenue from their "non-revenue" sports during that time.
Of course, ISU is hosed since they don't have baseball, so they would be throwing away a good chunk of the potential spring and summer TV time revenue, unless all the network revenue was equally shared. Personally, if you can't field a team in a sport, I don't think you should get any revenue generated by the other schools' TV appearances. Wrestling and gynmanstics would benefit ISU in this regard (and to quell the conspiracy theorists, since almighty OU has both of those sports, they would probably get some TV time).
Do you know of any UT or OU supporters/fans that oppose a Big 12 network? The few UT and OU supporters I know want a a Big 12 network. I don't know of any that oppose it. Not that those few people matter in any way.
Sorry...not buyin' it. Maybe if the network was exlusively FB, those reasons why OU and UT oppose the network might make sense.
