    Bradford hurt again

Sam Bradford just went down in the Texas-OU game. Doesn't look like he's very comfortable.

Even if he gets screwed his dad is an insurance agent and signed him to an undisclosed policy if he were to get injured - he'll be alright no matter what...

Edit: he just may not win that title at OU

Isn't Bradford a junior? If so, I think he almost has to come back again next year to show NFL scouts that he's healthy again? Would an NFL team take a chance on a QB with a damaged throwing shoulder?

And as for that play, Bradford absolutely CANNOT take that hit. As soon as he turns and sees that Texas defender coming he has to throw that ball away immediately. Who cares if you get an intentional grounding penalty. You can't risk getting hurt again IMO. Not a smart play by Bradford there.

If he's out there concerned of whether he'll get hurt again then he won't be a very effective QB. He's out there trying to make plays and unfortunately landed badly again. If nothing else he needs to learn how to get tackled. He keeps trying to stick that elbow out to brace his fall rather than tuck it in and let his body take the force.

If he has to compromise the good of the team with such protective play, maybe it is best he is not in anyways.

They talked about it on the Dan Patrick show, and apparently those policies are if the player can never play again. So if they drop in the draft, but can still play the policy does nothing.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Bradford and the coaching staff knows that his shoulder is about 80% right now. But they all felt it was good enough for him to still be more effective than their backup.

So... if you know your shoulder is not 100%, you have to do everything you can to protect it IMO.

That play was dead from the second he turned around and had the Texas defender coming right at him. Get rid of it and live to play another down. It really doesn't even matter that he's injured, QB's are told to eliminate bad plays and get rid of the ball instead of forcing bad throws anyway.

Correct. If Bradford's injury is not career ending, he does not collect.

So, what if his stock drops and no NFL team is going to risk taking him in the first round if they don't know how bad his shoulder is? Then Bradford has no other choice but to come back to college another year.

I am sure the coaches felt that before the game...does not mean it is true. It is doubtful they would play him if they knew he would have to play in the manner you suggested.

And now you say your point is not about him getting injured?
