Coolest College Campuses

I have visited a lot of campuses and ISU's campus certainly ranks very, very high in terms of attractiveness and "collegial feel".

I also liked UVa, the US Military Academy at West Point, and SMU.

Watching gameday on Saturday made me think TCU is pretty nice, of course they are like ND, loaded private school

The two that I really enjoy:
-ISU
-Arizona State

Kansas and CU aren't too bad.

Notre Dame is really nice ... actually strangely similar to ISU - probably all the grass and open space that does it.

As far as campuses I've seen, I think Notre Dame is the most beautiful, well thought out experience I've had thus far.

The place is well kept, planned, overflowing with tradition, and laid out perfectly. It has a ton of old trees and a lot of green space. What I liked the best is that the campus and stadium are all right next to each other making it a very intimate experience.

I've been to a lot of campuses....but the top three i've visited
a) The Citadell ......Charleston, SC
b) Univ of Pennsylvania......Philedelphia, PA
c) Bowdoin College.....Brunswick, Maine

For me, it is easily West Point. No other campus has that kind of history wrapped up in its soil.

West Point is awesome! Loved the day I spent on campus when ISU played that Friday night game. Very cool setting for a college...impressive!

Sounds like you have never been. I did not see Gameday at TCU but they must have done some special staging to make TCU look "pretty nice". I have been and I was not impressed.

You want to see a nice campus in the DFW area...go to SMU.

Fowler or Herbstreit (sp?) did say something to the effect of "we are on TCU's brand new campus". So apparently they did some building recently...and on television this past Saturday it did look very cool!

For sure! We parked down low right along some docks on the Hudson. It just so happened that a HUGE freight ship (believe it was called the "Georgia V") made its way past us...seeing a ship that big on a river was very very impressive!

But you are correct...the beauty of the river valley viewed from the West Point campus is amazing!

The University of Georgia.

I love how the football stadium is right in the middle of campus.

My brother taught there for 4 years and we visited there a couple times. IMO it is no contest. When you see the per beauty and the incredible history of the place you are in awe. Most schools have statues of former players but West Point has statues of Eisenhower, Patton, Washington, MacArthur, etc.... Did I mention it is gorgeous?
