Well, we haven't beaten Hawkins at their place. We even lost to them in 2006, his first year there, when they were horrible and 1-9 at the time of the game and they finished 2-10.
Hawkins has enough talent returning to win 7 games and play in a lower tier bowl. We need to get over the Folsom Field hurdle or it could be 8 and a decent bowl.
As has been said before, CU is in a big hole finacially, therefore it's cheaper to keep him.
Especially when you consider when Gary Barnet was fired, they couldn't find enough donors to pony up the reported $3 milllion to buy him out and they had to go get a bank loan to do it.
