Jake Locker (qb Washington) to stay in school

Seattle PI - Jake Locker, the University of Washington quarterback who was projected as the number one overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by RealGM's Jeff Risdon, has chosen to stay in school for his senior year and will not enter his name into the NFL draft, the school announced Monday.

"After a great deal of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided to return to Washington and play my senior year," Locker said in a statement. "I am very excited about this team's opportunities and potential for the upcoming season and I am looking forward to being a part of it."

Wow selected by the Angles in the baseball draft and maybe the number 1 pick going back to school. Help makes the Pac 10 race all that more interesting next year

Not smart. Wish the kid well though. Hope it works out better for him than it did Leinart and Bradford

I agree but at the same time maybe the kid wants his education and just loves college football.. but still crazy to think this could happen 2 times in a row
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I grabbed my diploma on the same day Ellis Hobbs came back to get his this spring. There is no rule against NFL players getting a college diploma after they go pro...true story.
