I was so torn watching the NW-Auburn bowl game. Hated to see a crappy Big 10 team beat the SEC, but if Auburn would have blown that lead and lost, Chiz may have never recovered with the Auburn fan base.

Northwestern is the only Big10 team I like! I love Fitzgerald! If I were a high school kid (and could get into that school) I would play for him!

I'll root for Northwestern against anybody. Except for us. I've got no problem rooting for them because of their conference.

Plus I grew up during their epic losing streak. Every time they win, it reminds me that a program can come from the absolute depths of college football and do some winning.

Yeah...I understand. I would go to Iowa State of course...I was just trying to express my appreciation for Pat Fitzgerald.

That said...I was not the type of athlete that any college wanted...and I certainly was not the type of student that Northwestern wanted...

Did I understand this correctly:
1. He already burned his Freshman year of eligibility at D1.
2. He already burned a redshirt year as a soph.
3. He played one year at JUCO

So he will have two years of eligibility?

Me too and IMO NW is the success model that ISU FB should follow.
