It is funny how he recruited alright while he was here, but I wouldn't say he was near what the PR staff has been but he goes down there and he is top 5. I realize it's Auburn and top 25 would be expected but a top 5 class is extraordinary. I am not implying anything. I am just surprised by this.

Nice to have good players. It's a shame they won't get coached properly unless Chiz hands the team over to his staff. I'll bet they underachieve and he's out of there in two years.

They obviously liked what they saw in the bowl game...undisciplend team, personal fouls, flags, picking the wrong end of the stadium for overtime...and so on. I watched that game and thanked God for CPR...seriously I did. Watching that game was like groundhog day, just different colors and assistants, same crappy unprepared leadership.

They are a warm weather, southern, rich tradition, have a great stadium and facilities. Have you seen their locker room?? I could walk into Auburn with an eye patch and one testicle and have a top 10 recruiting class. I will even wear cut off jean shorts.
He will be run out of town eventually. 7 and 8 wins won't cut it there. maybe the years 1-3. Then they are going to demand BCS and SEC title games. And wins against Bama.

His recruiting abilities have never really been in question. His coaching abilities, on the other hand...

The rest of the SEC is not surprised. I have been hearing for some time that AU is high on a lot of kids lists and that Chizik and his staff have been doing a great job of recruiting. Trooper Taylor is apparently a tremendous recruiter.
