This Big 10 BS is getting old. Just add Pitt and be done with it.
What, next we'll hear that they'll try to add Florida or USC?

Just because the Big 10 wants Texas, doesn't mean Texas wants the Big 10.
Hell I want Penelope Cruz to be my 2nd wife, but I am guessing she wants little to do with me.

Well Mel, I think I remember you being a notorious Big 10 hater, so maybe that is your frustration, but it will be awhile. I expect they'll talk to multiple teams to find the best fit. It seems your issue is it hits to close to home. I still don't expect Texas to bolt and I'm not sure as a football "purist" I want them to. All the same there are some things that would be advantageous to them. So you can't hardly get upset every time it comes up. You may be "bothered" for a while if so. Just sayin'..............................

Yes there is a load of money at stake here. There was another thread a few months back with more info, but it "seems" to be a significant amount, including but not limited too research money and TV dollars. I do think you are on to something with the "big dog" comment. Right now they have a "major" monetary advantage over 3/4ths of the Big 12. That advantage wouldn't be as large in the Big 10 based on the numbers I've seen. 6 plus teams are outside of the top 40 in revenue generating for the Big 12, with ISU last at 63rd. The Big 10 has NW at 59th and everyone else in the top 30 or 35. Big difference. Texas honestly has a great situation where they are at, though it does appear there is more money for them in the Big 10.
Now playing Devils advocate, I'm not sure some Big 12 fans shouldn't be wishing them to go?!?!??!
Chad.

Chad. Don't get me wrong here, I'd love to have them off the schedule.

Re: Texas to Big 10, Austin sportswriter says no chance
A lot of people wouldn't mind to see Texas go, so then maybe we could get the revenue sharing changed to help everyone in the conference and not just Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Texas A.M. I think Texas A.M. is starting to see the light, so it might be changing sometime anyway. We need one of those teams to change their mind or the revenue sharing will never change. I still see little chance that Texas would leave as the political preasure would be to much on them to leave the Big 12 without taking Texas A.M., Texas Tech, and Baylor.

It'll be interesting to see what the Big XII does if one or all of those teams leave.
