Obviously Wes didn't leave because he couldn't be 'coached'. He went to play for Jim Boeheim. He is one of the best coaches around and is pretty demanding. He doesn't let WJ do whatever he wants. So to claim that he was some out of control player with a big ego is ridiculous. He was hurt his whole sophomore season and playing in a system that he didn't like, and that a lot of players must not like (see half our team leaving every year).
Not quite accurate (if rumor is correct) - he initially left to play for Gillispie at Kentucky, as rumor had it people connected with UK, when they heard WJ wasn't happy at ISU, went and "tampered" through WJ's family - It was WJ's brother that ultimately convinced him to leave. What gives the rumor credibility is he likely would be playing at UK right now - if WJ's release release from ISU wasn't under the stipulation that he couldn't play for UK...
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
