The only bowl game played outside the U.S. matched a Big East school against a Mid-American Conference opponent for four years. The Big East is now sending a team to the new Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.
Bowl president Don Loding said Thursday the game could possibly be resurrected in the future.
1 less bowl game to watch
You actually watched it? You and who?

Actually with the Pinstripe Bowl you mentioned it's the same number of bowl games to watch. But now it's a big 12 big east game instead of a big east MAC
Re: International Bowl folds
Jim Leavitt must be cursing now "Why didn't this .... bowl fold up a year earlier!" :jimlad:
Re: International Bowl folds
IMO it should be against the rules to have any bowl north of the Mason-Dixon line. Bowls should be in FL, CA, TX. Maybe AZ, LA and GA. That's it. No one should have to go somewhere cold for a bowl game.

I would love to see UF and Urban Meyer play in Ames in November. That would be priceless. Heck Ann Arbor, Detroit, CHicago, Bismark should be locations for the Natl Championship every other year. Even up the advantages the warm weather boys get.

Which is great because it was in the 30's for the Orange Bowl this year. Even god hates the Hawkeyes!
