Scott Drew. Nice zone defense will do wonders. Just ask Wesley.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Who's The Hottest MBB Coach
I think Brad Stevens has too good a thing going to leave right now.
I think the same thing about Jake.
Painter's at a BCS school that he graduated from, so I think he stays put.
Mack will move on in a couple of years. Every Xavier coach moves on, and they all succeed, so he has that in his future. Honestly, I'm not sure he wouldn't be a good fit here.
Bennett-Not sure. Unless he has it in his mind to build a perennial rival to Gonzaga, it seems like he'd move on.
Drew--He's making Baylor into one of the big boys in a power conference. Seems like it would take a monster offer to want to leave what he's building down there. (And they had a shot at John Wall?) But maybe for $3+ million per year, he could be had?

Chris Mack will stay at Xavier. There was a story about how he left Wake Forest to come back to Xavier. He wants to be there and is looking to stay.
I'd put my money on Bennett to leave out of those choices.

I'd put my money on Bennett to leave out of those choices. I guess Mack played there as well. The Xavier program is a machine anymore, but it's a machine built with quality parts. The schools with openings have to know that the track record of Xavier coaches after Xavier is excellent. Mack will get some nice offers. I'm not sure they'd come after one year on the job, but he'll be getting plenty of offers.

I saw (5) Sweet 16 teams deploy a zone........I wonder what all the Wayne Morgan critics think about this.

I think they are all decent looking guys but I don't know if I would call them hot. I think pretty is more appropriate.

Or so I have read. -
Re: Who's The Hottest MBB Coach
I think Drew gets paid after this run. Xavier coach stays becausehe hasn't had tp coach his recruits yet so know knows how well he can recruit. I thik Bennett may leave but will stay on the west coast

Re: Who's The Hottest MBB Coach
Ben is not as hot since he signed a 10 year contract extension. The buyout is a problem. Ben may feel his system works best in MVC. He is only 39. He can afford the wait. We only have five more years to wait. Iowa may need another coach after another five years also.

I scratched my head at Ben's contract - although 10-years of security in this business is almost unheard of, he could have doubled his salary and had a 5-year contract with a Div 1 Big and that would have been a wash.
Anyway, if you're happy where you're at, keep riding in it.

That 11 teams who made the Sweet 16 play man to man. And Wayne isn't coaching any of them.
