Whether by default or choice, he gets a lot of players just below the top...ones that will usually stay at least 3 years, but still very talented/athletic.

Re: Oregon to Make Offer to Izzo??
I'll be a little surprised if this happens, but Johnny Orr did come to ISU way back when.

More than half the team from Michigan itself.
Still, Izzo has done a fantastic job. Still have to go out an recruit against Wolverines, Badgers, Buckeyes etc. And he is doing just fine.

There is no chance this happens. Seriously like a < 0% chance.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Re: Oregon to Make Offer to Izzo??
I guess if I were in the position where I'm making millions a year I would stay where I'm content and enjoy it versus a place that's a challenge. I would think with Indiana U, Michigan U down a little bit that has to help out the recruiting. Butler and ND might snag a few of them now but still, he's very close to some big time major cities.

I don't think you could say that Under Armour built their empire on the University of Maryland. I saw a show on Under Armour and they built their business through word of mouth by giving their product to high profile athletes and to production companies filming sports movies. The guy had been a player at Maryland and used his contacts through that to build a network of guys wearing his stuff. If I recall correctly, their first school that was an actual client was Georgia Tech and the guy was still working out of his basement and car at the time he made the sale. Great story!
With respect to Izzo, he is a Michigan native and his entire career has been in Michigan...as a HS coach, a small college coach, an assistant at Michigan St., and now as their head coach. He should listen to Oregon but I doubt he would make the move.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -
