Twist of Fate could have saved your brackets

My son shared a dorm floor with Lucas O'Rear his sophomore year. He was telling me tonight, when UNI dropped their baseball program O'Rear (pitcher) contemplated transferring to Kansas. Think it's ironic he stayed in Cedar Falls and went on to beat KU in the NCAAs?

I'm glad he stayed at UNI, it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun had Kansas beaten UNI.

I've read that he might not return to UNI next year and could possibly go on to play baseball.

Re: Twist of Fate could have saved your brackets

I was able to catch a couple of UNI's games last year and O'Rear has a much brighter future in baseball than at basketball.

Imagine the fame possibilities of a dude 6-6" 260 lbs w/ bright red bushy hair and mutton chops coming in for the save in the 9th inning.

If he can harness the fastball(92-96 mph) and learn a good off speed pitch(along with his avg. slider) he has all the ingredients to be a great closer in the majors.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Sorry, if he'd gone to KU it would have been for baseball.
