Re: Doug to Creighton?
I thought there would have to be a coaching change at UNI for Doug to be released.

Re: Doug to Creighton?
Doug could be released to play for Mac at Creighton, but I am fairly certain that the MVC transfer rule on inter-conference transfers does not allow for them to accept a scholarship. So GMac would be footing the bill....which I'm sure he could shake the seat cushions and cover.

Re: Doug to Creighton?
Ben Brust (Iowa BBall recruit) tried to go to Wisconsin and basically was told the same thing about sitting.

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

Re: Doug to Creighton?
See Pollard's statement: “The contract terms that Creighton offered him and an opportunity to coach his son were significant factors in his decision. We wish Greg the best of luck at Creighton.” Sounds like Doug is following him.

"McDermott also told the Register that Doug McDermott has been released from his letter of intent with Northern Iowa, and he will follow his father to Creighton. Doug McDermott will be a freshman next season after helping Ames win back-to-back state titles."

This may not be popular, but I really like McD as a person. I wish him and his son success.

per DM Register Article The whole reason doug didn't go to ISU was that they didn't think he could hack against Big XII big men. Going to a valley school certainly changes that.
