Just think if Kareem had been able to go straight to the pros. Add 4 years worth of solid stats to his already ridiculous career totals.

Seriously I don't get the LeBron hate. What has he ever done to be a brat? Did going to college help Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, or any number of NFL players to stop being "brats"?

I think people should mind their own business when it comes to age and their employers. I think if you can join the army, be a mechanic, work in a factory at 17 or 18, then you can play basketball and vice versa.

I just don't care for people, towns, or even governments that try and limit what people want to do with their lives. Let them succeed or let them fail on their own.

Thats debatable really. Those four years would have taken an NBA beating instead of college. Much different and longer. I would say a net of 2 years more of stats at the most. I can't prove anything, it is just my thinking.

You are an adult at age eighteen. If you can play pro ball at age eighteen then you should.

You should also be able to drink, but that's a different thread.

I'd agree. Perhaps Kareem's best accomplishment was his ability to avoid injuries, and the NBA grind might have gotten to him sooner if he skipped college.

I agree the 21 age limit is a great idea and am in favor of it but its not really fair. Thats like saying a child genious can't become a doctor until he's a certain age, if you can hack it in the big leagues, go for it.
