Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches

Re: Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches
I like it. Sounds like a smart kid trying to make a choice for himself.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Pretty smart.
Sounds like the young man (and his mother) got their heads on straight.

Re: Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches
That is a lot of questions! But I love it! Good for the kid!

Re: Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches
I wish that ISU was in the position to actively recruit him. Our engineering department is great for both under grads and graduates.
Plus we could really use a good safety.

Maybe lost him at #26....really lost him with #39.
39. What is the coldest temperature your city gets?
A: With the windchill or without?

Re: Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches
I can remember a couple different football players graduating with Mechanical Engineering degrees while I was in school (which was pretty recently).

Re: Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches
I thought the questions would read:
1) How much money do I get under the table?
2) What type of car dealer hooks up your studs?
3) How often do I have to show my face in class?
4) What type of girls act as your hostesses?
5) What do your hostesses do?
6) Does my scholarship cover continued hostessing?
7) Where the white women at? (Blazing Saddles)

Re: Blue Chip Recruit Sends Questionaire to Coaches
I will take a different tack. Fifty questions on what can you do for me as a recruit. Too much. Sounds like Gwen Bush wants limo service to watch her boy play.
This would be a big turnoff for recruiting him as he already is
carrying baggage (his Mom). ===> ---what can you do for me, not what can i do for the team---
34. How many football players do you currently have that are engineering majors?
35. How many football players have graduated with an engineering degree in the past five years? Year-by-year? Please list their names.
36. How many African-American football players have graduated with their degree (any major -- four- and five-year seniors) in the past five years? Year-by-year?
37. How many African-American players have graduated with an engineering degree in the past five years? Year-by-year? Please list their names.

We hope you are our first.

We have the questions, someone fill them out and send them to his mom. ;p

They did ask numbers 1,2,3, and 7....they were just more subtle. So far, everyone on here seems to like this. Are you being politically correct, or do you really think this is a good idea? I guess it's good for the kid to come out and do it, but some of these questions open the door wide for dirty recruiters to walk right in. The kid has these in writing (not lil wayne in particular), and as soon as he doesn't get his way, he has mom emailing the coach with their answers.

+1. Way too much focus on mommy traveling and accomedations. General football questions are fine but when is it the responsibility for the university to cater and baby sit his mommy. Pass on this one.
