    Tax Exemption

If all of this re allignment comes about and mega conferences are created that can make huge money for their schools when will athletic departments no longer be viewed as tax exempt. It is obvious it is strictly about business and grabbing money, I see this as no different than a fortune 500 company.

I doubt it will ever happen but if no one brings this stuff into check where will it stop.

I agree. It has been becoming more and more obvious that college athletics are about money. Obvious to the point that I don't think that anyone can deny or ignore it any longer.

    Re: Tax Exemption

I'd love it. IMO no reason for college athletics to be tax exempt.

I am with you guys. I have been all for tax exempt status for athletic departments but if all this expansion stuff happens, I will side with ol' chuck grassley and say their exempt status' should be revoked.
