Sign that their hopes for Big XII castaways are diminishing...?

Or, it could be that the the North Schools are looking/more than likely going to the big east and the MWC's hopes of landing the big 12 leftovers has passed. Just a thought.

Before it seemed like they were holding off on BSU to see if they could grab any big 12 teams... picking BSU up, imho, probably means we're going in another direction (whether that be existing big 12, big east, whatever)

It also depends a lot on who stays in the B-12 and where UT/A&M/OU/OSU go and possible expansions of Pac 10 and SEC to megaconferences.
But it could mean getting MWC to 10 and adding 6 for a merger (I didn't divide into divisions yet):
ISU
KU
KSU
Missouri
Baylor
Tech
BYU
Boise
Utah
Colorado State
Air Force
UNLV
San Diego State
New Mexico
TCU
Wyoming
I still like potential Big East-Big 12 collaboration but I see this as a possibility.

Grats to BS, they've worked hard to get there. Personally, I hope to never see that blue field again.

Is this going to be enough to get them an AQ?

Re: Joe Schad (ESPN): Boise State to MWC Today
it actually makes sense in football terms...boise state has reached a level that is far too competative for the rest of the WAC. by joining the MWC it gives them 11 teams which would allow the MWC to pick up 3 others from the big 12 (probably ISU, KU, and KSU). this would more than likely give them an automatic BCS spot due to adding a consistent top 10 team, along with former BCS schools. now that Boise is in the MWC, i wouldnt mind playing there rather than in the Big East for football due to the fact that the Big East doesnt have any teams currently worthy of having an AQ spot.
