After Seeing Texas and Texas A&M announcing that they would remin in the Big 12 I was expecting to see an announcemnet from JP or GG that ISU would remin in the big 12 as well

I went to ralphiereport.com - looks like they were still happy: not having to play Big 12 South teams, playing against pac-10 and on the TV as most of the alumni live in the West Coast

Colorado fans believe they are sitting pretty. But they still have to win or the whole thing will get very sour very quickly.

Buff fans forget that this whole thing was a ploy to get Texas, not CU. The Pac-10 got short-changed

Pac-10 fans are asking why do we need or even want CU? A weak football team, a nothing basketball program, Zero baseball (baseball is big in that conference). As for Denver, they watch the Broncos and there are enough Texas exes and transplanted Texans there to keep tuned to the Longhorns

I get more out of watching paint dry than reading that board. Somebody was excited with the oportunity to add skiiing because two teams in the Pac10 have skiing and if they can add Utah, they would have a travel partner. Somebody else basically said Texas academics were terrible and dead weight compare to the intellectuals in the Pac 10.

Nothing. They were being used by the Pac 10 to get Texas to jump ship too. It didn't work, and now both the Pac10 and CU are in rough shape. Especially with USC being irrelevant for the next 2-3 years. CU actually makes that conference weaker. And bringing in a Utah won't help either at this point.

That is why you lay low in these situations... like JP and GG did. What if we had jumped ship to the MWC right away when things looked bad?

No offense, but we didn't really have a lot of other options. And of course we weren't going to jump ship to a lesser conference off the bat. Non-BCS would have been a last ditch play. I'm sorry, but I don't believe ISU was playing a big strategical game behind the scenes, we had no choice to wait and see, and we lost nothing by waiting.

Don't get me wrong, I was scared bad things were going to happen, in fact, until all the dust has settled, I'll still be a little sketchy.
