Once the police report came out Friday, you just new the above headline was coming sooner rather than later.

According to Zach Klein, sports director of WSB-TV, Damon Evans is out as Georgia's athletic director. UGA president Michael Adams reportedly asked for and received Evans' resignation.

In the wake of his DUI arrest this past week, Evans was publicly resolute in not resigning his position. However, the release of the police report -- replete with red panties between his legs and multiple uses of the "do you know who I am?" card -- obviously left neither the university nor Evans much of a choice.

That can happen to anybody and is one of my worst nightmares.

Thankfully have most of those days behind me. I drink more reasonable now a days and have a spouse who rarely drinks.

From what I'm hearing from former UGA football players and those around Atlanta is that this will turn into a mini-Tiger situation. There are several others out there....

Would have survived the DUI. Apparently half the students, faculty and staff on the Georgia campus have a DUI.

But the red panties....bye bye bye.

I'd feel worse for him if he wasn't driving a 2009 BMW and making hundreds of thousands a year. Life must be rough.

$550K/ year equals $225/year when unemployed for 1 year. $183K when unemployed for two years etc. In the meantime, he still has house and car payments.
Money is linear. The more you make the more you spend.

Of course, I don't feel sorry for the guy. Don't drink and drive and don't cheat on your wife if you can't handle getting caught
