Agreed. We'll never know the truth about his level of involvement in these incidents. All of them, as the article says, place him square in the middle of a gray area. If you stay in the white or the black areas, it's easy to deal with. You are either a trouble-maker and you'll be penalized or you're not. It's people who toe the line, bend the rules and ride in the gray areas that cause a lot of problems in society and they are why firm lines must sometimes be drawn.

Masoli had expressed late interest in programs like Kansas State and West Virginia, two other sources told Schad.
Bullet dodged.

The time at the party though, he was was trying to get away without drawing attention to his former teammate and getting him in trouble. Sure, we can sit here and say he should have taken it upon himself to stop the crime, but it was a former teammate. I guess I have a hard time faulting him for not doing that. Masoli made his bed. I am in no way defending him but from what I can tell and what I know I would say he didn't steal anything from that party.

I also don't think he stole anything. He made his bed by having a bad history and lying to the police at the first time. That only shows that character counts. I believe that he would have had a better chance if he was truthful on the first occassion: "yes I was there and this is what happened".
Oh well, he might end up well in the NFL....

Re: CNNSI Story about Jeremiah Masoli
Could he be innocent in all of those situations? Certainly. But the guy made bad decisions no matter what way you slice it.
- Don't say anything to the guys who robbed that guy of his wallet when he was 16
- Similar situation when he's older and in college, and he doesnt say anything to the guy who stole the projector.
- Lies to police about being at the fraternity.
- While being suspended, he was driving with a suspended license AND either a) allowed a friend to bring marijuana in the car or b) was using marijuana. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
It's really hard to be sympathetic to his situation when he could easily avoid all of these situations.

I might have a different opinion when Ole Miss beats Alabama in October Please beat AUBURN ! Please ?

Re: CNNSI Story about Jeremiah Masoli
I just had an interesting thought: if Masoli transfers to ISU (I know this won't happen as he already transfered to Ole Miss). Would the fans accept him ? He's a very good QB, still.
