Dec 10th Jersey Auction to help MDA

Friday December 10th during the Iowa v Iowa State Hockey game the team will be auctioning off the jerseys the players wear during the game to raise money for the MDA. These jerseys will also be autographed by the player. This is a great cause and will hopefully raise a lot of money. Please come out and see a great game plus help raise some money for a good cause.

Semi-related question: I went to the Cedar Rapids Roughriders game last Friday, and they wore Hawkeye sweaters that night and the next, then auctioned them off to donate to charity.

That explains so much. I watched the shoot-out winner from that game and could not wrap my head around why the goalie was wearing a Hawk jersey.

The Bucs and ISU have not done this, at least not in the past 10 years or so. The MDA auction is a great event though - usually a good crowd and a lot of money raised for the cause.
