LOL! If it comes down to it, what made the final difference in my choosing, the actual answer would be "A girl named Sharon Potter"...whom I have neither seen nor heard of since 1983.

Another love affair blossomed instead. With everything that is Iowa State.

Perhaps the defining moment being what is generally regarded as the birth of Hilton Magic, when Barry Stevens dropped 44 on #10 Missouri to beat them in double OT. Go Cyclones!

Getting denied from Iowa's Engineering school!

You had to be in the top 30% of your class to get in there, and top 50% to get into ISU. Since I was somewhere between 30-50%...ISU won me!
