Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
When it comes to passion for the university?: Die Hard.
When it comes to my financial support for the university?: Nil. I want to but I just can't afford to right now. When I have things such as a better job and a career I will try to support what I can. (Of course, my ideal plan would be to become a tech mogul then donate metric ****tons of money to the athletics department)
As for tickets?: I really only buy football season tickets, I will eventually get MBBall Season tickets and hopefully I can afford that next year because I want to see next years MBB team kick some ***

Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
I would say I'm a diehard... but you guys might not say it because I didn't attend the school and I've only been to 3 games the last two years because I'm poor, don't live around the area, and have to work most weekends! But most "fans" I talk to don't follow nearly as close as I do... and same with people I talk to who actually attend the school.

Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
I wouldn't call myself a diehard, because I know there are better fans out there than I am. but I'm more than just a supporter too. I'm not one of those guys who will turn down a better paying job because it will take me too far away from Ames to make it to games every weekend, but I never miss a game on TV or the internet either. I'm also a financial supporter of the program.
There needs to be a category in between diehard and supporter and that's where I belong.

Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
I consider myself die-hard. I don't miss a game if i can help it, whether it be radio, online, etc... I don't make to as many games as I would like. I'm a follower of MBB, WBB, Wrestling, and football but try to keep up with all ISU sports. My neighbors think I'm a nut-case cause I scream at my TV!!! I would say I'm passionate about ISU!

Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
I'm just a supporter. After 31 years since graduation, I'm getting tired of being a mediocre, mostly loser. It's time for you younger generations to carry the torch.

Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
die-hard also die·hard (dīˈhärdˌ)
adjective
Stubbornly resisting change or clinging to a seemingly hopeless or outdated cause.
noun
One who stubbornly resists change or tenaciously adheres to a seemingly hopeless or outdated cause
it turns out that just being a cyclone fan qualifies you as a die-hard. -
Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
I'm torn. I'd say die-hard, but in reality, I don't travel to Iowa for every game, I don't know much about the "non-revenue" sports and my knowledge doesn't go much further back than high school when I actually became a fan.
I graduated from there, donate money and regularly follow as many ISU related things as possible, but does that make me a die-hard or just a supporter?

Fan. ISU is not the only university I graduated from and have quite a number of interests other than ISU sports.

Re: How would you rank your support for ISU?
Football, beyond a die hard, its part of my life. Basketball a little more than a fan.
