Big 12 is trying to promote a rivalry between ISU and KSU

In football we should make it either Texas Tech or Oklahoma State.

In basketball it should be Kansas or Texas.

Even though there are similarities between iowa state and kansas state we have nothing to offer each other.

I didn't realize the telephone trophy was even uglier than the CyHawk trophy.

Someone needs to pony up what equates to chump change to redesign them both asap.

If we create a trophy with KSU maybe everyone can just agree to put the Telephone trophy in storage or something.

Speaking for the Purple side of things, Farmageddon is a great idea. The only tough part is that it is difficult to find over a handful of KSU fans that are passionate about the outcome of events against ISU. A great rivalry needs a little respect and a little hatred to endure. The typical KSU fan does not like to ever lose to an ISU team, but take no special pleasure in chalking up a win against the Clones. I suspect most ISU fans feel the same way about KSU.

That's the problem. When we beat KSU in 2004, it was a big deal, but since then it just isn't quite the same. There isn't the in-born hatred.

I would love to see this be a bigger rivalry. As otehrs have said, KSU has KU, but they care about Missouri more, and we have Iowa but they're in the Big 10.
