Regarding the B12 being a 10 team league with the round robin schedule, you have to wonder if while so many pundits thought everything was headed in the direction of the “super conference” and some conferences have even acted on that, if things will trend back to smaller conferences again.

Maybe it’s cyclical…like everything else in the world?

Hard to believe Barry Tramel wrote a deserved complimentary column about Beebe. Tramel was one of the most outspoken, idiotic columnists/bloggers regarding the B12's demise during last year's Conference Missile Crisis.

I was jealous of the Pac 10's round robin scheduling format for years and to now see the B12 with it will be great.

I think it's probably safe to say that your employment agreement has less money involved than Tressel's does. If you're Ohio State, and you've had one coach firing come back to bite you for millions of dollars (O'Brien), you take this carefully from a legal standpoint if your intention is to fire the man.

Now, whether they have any intention of doing that is pretty doubtful right now, but it should be. They couldn't tip their hand on that at all right now.

That said, it does seem pretty disturbing. Right now, they don't look at all like they plan to fire a guy who deserves it.
