I'll admit that I am not a huge Tim Floyd fan in the fact that I think he is highly overrated. The guy has never made it past the Sweet 16, wasn't well thought of in the NBA, and has had allegations of cheating everywhere he has been.
I'm shocked that ISU inducted him in the HOF

I'm shocked that ISU inducted him in the HOF OK we got it, now could you shut-up about it and let others have their say. You do realize that letterwinner's do the nominations and voting. I prefer their picks to yours. Tim's players at ISU loved him.

Re: Iowa State Announces 2011 Hall of Fame Class
Floyd is the only coach to take us to 3 consecutive NCAA tournaments. He's a good addition.
Any idea if Floyd will be at the ceremony? I know it says they will be honored at half against UNI but doesn't mean he'll be there. That would be awesome if he was there.

I'm not like you where I make post after post about the same thing just to stir the pot b/c you have nothing better to do.
Hopefully they vote for your BFF Chizik. His 2 years here were solid

*3 NCAA appearances (4-3 record)

*Averaged 20 wins per season
*Coached 4 NBA Draft selections
*Big Eight Tournament champ
*Big Eight Tournament runner-up
*Recorded as many conference tournament wins (6) as ISU has had total in the 13 years since his departure

I'm shocked that ISU inducted him in the HOF I agree with Clone85 on this one, and I was a big Tim Floyd fan. In my opinion a coach should have stayed at the school longer than the average student-athlete to qualify for the Hall of Fame. I certainly appreciate what he did in his short time at ISU, but I don't believe 81 (or so) wins as a basketball coach is enough to even be considered.

Not only that but let's say (example) Tim Floyd is inducted in the College basketball Hall of Fame. Is he going in as a Cyclone? Or a Trojan? Or a Miner? It's uncertain which school he had the most success at, enjoyed the most, etc.
I think Iowa State needs to get a bit tighter with their selections.

I don't know if it's a good selection or not...what's the criteria?
