I wish we could hear JP's opinion on which was better from an athletics standpoint.

There's probably folks here who know which candidate (if any) the AD preferred...

Does anyone know if they were asked about athletics in the forums and/or what they said?

    From his SDSU interview:

Like fellow finalist Elliot Hirshman, the No. 2 official at the University of Maryland Baltimore County who addressed the public Monday, Leath expressed his support for college athletics.

“How do we bring people to the door of San Diego State University to tell our story?” Leath asked. “One of the ways you do that is through athletics.”
