Is ISU a "football school", a "basketball school", a "wrestling school", or something else? I know this has come up before, but for all the kudos that Pollard has gotten around here, we basically are not very good at any of those right now.
ISU's leading sports program is women's volleyball - by a large distance. It's the only sport where Iowa State is today recognized as a "national" name.
I selected "other" with that meaning nothing stands out at the moment. The average fan won't know much about the volleyball success. It would be easiest to become a basketball school as I think it would be difficult for ISU to achieve and maintain continued success in football.

Were still a basketball school by a large margin. I don't count anything other than MBB or Football. WE've had our most success and greatest heroes on the hardwood.
I'd say we are pushing for football more than mbb. That being said we still have not been very good in the B12 in either of those in a pretty long time. VB kinda doing the butt kicking right now but sadly it's just not very popular (I'm guilty as I think I only watched one match)
