Here's an update on someone who played for ISU, but who was not a Cyclone.
Very strange that the article concludes that he knows what it means to play tenacious defense. Perhaps that is because others played tenacious defense against him. I don't recall him playing any defense whatsoever, let alone defense of the tenacious sort.
He surprised many people by quitting NCAA team Iowa State in early 2010 to return home and sign for Alba Berlin. An excellent shooter, he had been forced into something of a one-dimensional role during his time stateside, but subsequently showed his potential with 7.3 points in 15 minutes per game for Germany last summer.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
Somehow I truly doubt that Herr Staiger was forced into a truly one-dimensional role where he couldn't play defense. McDermott didn't force him to move with the speed of a sloth on defense, nor did he imbue him with the patently obvious "All I'm going to do is shoot 3's because I'm God Almighty" attitude.
But carry on, all of you Lucca supporters. Carry on.
