Re: What are these tweets all about?
The whole idea that certain news and information that they post over there being theirs and no one else can spread that news is rediculous. If that is your business model, your business fails.
Our world is viral, you cannot stop it and anyone trying to do so is rediculous. I hear people compare it to stealing music. Its not. They created the music. You did not create the news. You reported about it. You do not own the news.
The whole idea is crazy.

We don't allow that stuff to happen here and evidently Paul cracked down on something similar today on his site, which I appreciate.
As much as folks would like there to be, there isn't any hostility between Paul and me. There is more than enough room for two quality Iowa State sites on the Internet.

Re: What are these tweets all about?
The pay for information model is dying/dead. Viral information rules and Paul needs to adapt or fail. I don't blame him for trying to hang on however, he's just trying to make a living.

I doubt that. Rivals dominates recruiting info and is also part of yahoo. That isn't going to change anytime soon.

Why do people pay for inside info? Just wait 20 min and it will be all over.

Buddum chisssshhhhh I think Chris was referring to CF and cyclones.com as the two Iowa State sites that there is room for. (just being facetious)

Last I checked there is a helluva lot more recruiting news and detail on rivals than on here.

Yes....but you would not be able to bask in the golden glow of Jambalaya and his crusade against UofI.

Re: What are these tweets all about?
CR and Rivals in general have their purpose. There are a lot of Rivals reports, stories, and analysis that you can't get unless you are a paid member.
Their message board, however, is not a competitor with CF. Not even close. They may get a few recruiting details leaked a bit sooner than here, but not much. I think they talk a bit more about recruiting because of the pay stories from the site, but that's about the only advantage. CF is just a better and much more fleshed out message board.
Oh, and since CW started running things full time and we started getting exclusive CF reporting, the site ratcheted up even higher. So props to C-Willy and staff.
