    Getting my custom plates

    I got a letter in the mail from the Department of Treasury about my custom plates being available.

    The question is, how do I get 'em?

    Do I take my current plates off then drive down there with no plates, then just explain to an officer the situation if I get pulled over?

    Do I take them off after parking downtown? That wouldn't look suspicious at all....


    I'm likely just over thinking this, but any help would be appreciated.

    When I got mine I took my plates off in the parking lot of the Story County courthouse.

    We were supposed to get ours I swear last week... Hopefully next week I guess..
    I went to college thinking I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

    Put on a ski mask so no one recognizes you. Look around the street suspiciously at anyone nearby. Take the plates off, put the new plates on, and then speed away as fast as your car can go.
