    Just saw this on twitter. Congrats to J-Walt!

    Had a chance to do my internship with John at WOI and he was great to work with. He'll be a great addition to the athletic department!

    No! The Iowa clown is a homer. The UNI clown is a bigger homer. John is a really good announcer that is a part of Iowa State's athletic fabric. JW generally tells it like it is with enthusiasm. Congrats to him.

    I don't think Walters does games as a homer, but he definitely tells things from a Cyclone slant, which is exactly what his job is. I don't believe he embellishes anything to make us sound good out outright ignores when something negative happens.

    I am pretty sure the coaches shows are part of the learfield contract and have nothing to do with WOI.
