A month or so ago, I saw an ESPN special on the guy who "invented" the conference championship game for the SEC. Most hated it at the time, but the show gave it much credit for the upsurge of the SEC.

Well, I clearly have no idea what I'm talking about then. That being said, I still think what I said about Notre Dame makes some sense (especially when you consider what the Big Ten is doing).
