I agree with you. Something about option 3 looks the best. #1 is probably more practical, but your suggestion of diagonal parkway would help.

I would also agree 3 looks the best at a quick glance.
I'm a fan of #3. The walkways are an eyesore and serve no purpose right now so getting rid of them in any way is an improvement.
The green space for outdoor events in #2 or #3 look good. Not a fan of #1 at all beyond the diagonal from Beach/Lincoln.
I definitely like 3 the best. The parking space is needed for tailgating, and I personally think those "steps" made into the ground up toward the concourse between C.Y. and Fisher are really cool.
I'm going to miss the elevated walkways. They were unique. They were fun for running.
Think i like option 2 the best, although I like the terraced seating in 3 and the diagonal sidewalk from campus in both 1 and 3.
I would go with 1 or 3. Like 3 the best, but some of the diagonal sidewalks should be included in 3 as well.
So, gameday concerts on an outdoor stage? That sounds like fun.
Also, my wife likes 2, and I like 3.
I suspect that the raised Center Street was a big part of the Hilton flooding problem a few years ago. Water poured in from the north and east toward Hilton, but it couldn't flow south because of the raised Center Street. The pressure was so high on the Hilton side that water was shooting out the south sides of the pedestrian tunnels. I thought there must have been a pump shooting the water, but when I looked, it just seemed like the result of the higher water on the Hilton side causing enormous pressure.
One of the biggest considerations for me is Hilton parking. Option 3 has quite a bit more parking in the B lots than either #1 (where they stay the same) or #2 (where they are reoriented and become slightly smaller).
I think the courtyard green space becomes far bigger than it needs to be in Option 2.
I really, really like the terraces just east of CY Stephens in Option 3 as well.
Option 3 combined with the pedestrian walkway from Lincoln Way and Beach (shown in Option 1) would truly be perfect in my opinion.
I liked 3 best, but add the diagonal from 1 to prevent 'cowpaths'
