Your name isn't on here. Might want to get that fixed.

    Without Question

Spanier failed in his capacity as the President of Penn State & his recognition was based on that.

IMO as much as Paterno & the FB program are taking the brunt of the penalty for Sandusky's action the real failure here was poor decisions by Spanier, Curley and Schultz. The guys should be facing strong criminal court proceedings.

But right now ISU is on the wrong side of history. Just rescind it, and move on.

Agree. These guys needed to say, "sorry Joe, that's not how we are going to handle this" and do the right thing. I don't care if Joe was a hero there, they should have known doing the right thing would have been the way to go. Hard for an alum or donor to argue "Joe is ****** at the president...i hate the president now...wait, what...one of his assistants did what? And the pres and his crew wanted him gone? Nevermind...."

The culture in that program was toxic...everyone bowing down to Joe..heck, Curly was a former player for him!

I didn't know, or at least I had forgotten until now, that Spanier is an ISU alum.

Yes, rescind it with all available speed. Don't have to make a big deal about it, as others have written, but do it soon.

    Rescind it.

    Rescind away...

    Rules to live by:
    1. Don't put up statues of people that are still alive.
    2. Don't let child molesters shower in your locker room with 12 year olds.

edit: whoops, forgetting the "n't" changes the meaning quite a bit.

Remove his name from everything related to Iowa State University. I don't want him being attached to ISU other than to say this award was rescinded.

If you think the first thing coming up about Spanier is his ISU ties, you're NUTS

That being said, just as well rescind it, though.

In the 1/1,000,000 chance that Johnny has dead hookers buried in his backyard ISU will look pretty silly.
