How is there not an "ALL IN" shirt anywhere? Am I missing them online someplace? It's the football rally cry, on the bumper of their helmets, it should be a student section mandatory shirt for sure.
The only "problem" (for lack of better words) I have with the Campanile shirt is it doesn't scream athletics to me. Otherwise I think it would be a flipping awesome general university shirt.
The only legitimate design in that whole mess of options is the PRIDE shirt. And perhaps it's just me but I like gray t-shirts.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
The PRIDE one is actually pretty good. I'd buy it on heather gray. I personally don't love the yellow and red shirts as much and wear heather gray a lot more often (it's more versatile and I don't like looking like a red ninja while wearing read shorts).
That being said, ISU did exactly what they did the last time the public was to vote on something and stacked the deck. (Remember the I-State helmet fiasco) They picked the one they liked and 3 others that are an embarrassment.
I'm an architect/graphic designer with 10 years of experience. It's the oldest trick in the book. You offer options, but only 1 or 2 of the 3 or 4 options are typically good. That way you help direct the client (or in this case the public) to the design you've already established as the best.
I'm a minimalist, and the PRIDE shirt is actually pretty clever. Kudos to whomever designed it. Shame on ISU for only offering a single option, again...
Edit: I should say that the cardinal and gold shirt isn't that bad, it's just located in a really weird location, which would look terrible on anyone with a spare tire... The Cyclone State one is terrible though... And if I wanted a shirt that said I-State Cyclones on it, I'd go buy it at the Hy-Vee..

Reason: Clarification

Good point. Same thing was done with the trophy design vote as well.
Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd
My two favorite ISU shirts I have are the student section in basketball from 2011 with the Hilton silhouette or whatever you call it, and the 2010 (I think) student section football shirt that just had the IState logo and said FOOTBALL. I really liked the font of that one.

I don't know if you can say that for sure... they've already proven themselves to have terrible judgement; they probably did think those were the best options
Here is my submission. From a marketing standpoint (which I thought this was going to be) I believe mine is better than the other 4. Catchy, uses the fight song, and looks cool.
That second one uses no creativity and is pretty lame. They really look no different than some of the shirts I see at Cy's Locker room...
