Why does Marshalltown need an asst sports editor? The Iowa media is filled with guys like this, remember the guy wearing Iowa gear in the press box. The taggers on in the media has been a running joke for years now.

I even wonder what is going on with the Des Moines TV stations at times. It has seemed this summer they were really reaching for Hawkeye stories.

For the comment made earlier about Travis Hines, that's great news for Iowa State fans. I've said this many times but Travis is one of the best reporters in the state. He's a new-school guy with old school integrity. I'm a big fan of his. He and Bobby will make a great team at the Trib. I have a lot of respect for both of them.
