If either of the candidates were on, it would be nice to chat about them and sports. Hope they can get more politicians on from both sides, it's nice not hearing politics from them, and actually feel like they are humans that enjoy sports, movies, etc. Romney doesn't seem like that big of a sports fan. There is no doubt in my mind that if Murph and Andy could book him they would, but frankly I think it'd be a terrible interview if they talked much about sports or movies (I doubt someone running for president has had the time to watch many movies the last year or so.)
George W. would be an excellent interview for that type of show. Big sports fan.

I didn't get a chance to listen, anyone want to give a rundown of what they talked about? Any mentions of the local schools?

Deleted political posts, as predicted by previous posters. Any more and to the cave.

Would have loved for Obama to field a call from Cooter Ray

My wife got to serve him a beer at the Bud Tent last night and sat with their pork chops right at her beer counter. She had pictures online and in a few papers. Politics aside, it's not everyday you get to have a beer and chit chat with a President.

I did not stop to look. I am also not making a political statement for or against Obama. I'm just relating what I saw.

Am thinking degrees from Columbia and Harvard may rule out tavern-hawk as we have come to define them. Although, he is a politician and I can’t say absolutely that he won’t say “how bout them hawks” if stumping in that western Illinois city we know as Iowa City. -
