Disappointed Cyclone Fan

Hey eveyone,

I am about to go on a long drawn out rant so please prepare yourselves.

So, for my wedding gift from my "smokin' hot wife, WOOO" I received Cyclone football season tickets. I love my lower level seats in section 3. I love the location, the view, the angle, and for the most part the people around us. We have this middle-aged couple who sits in front of us and must have been marching band alums because they are all about the marching band, and frequently participate with the marching bands routines.. Great stuff to watch.. Anyways, like I said, I enjoy the people around us, EXCEPT for this guy who sits directly behind my wife..
This guy is what I would classify as the ANTI-Cyclone fan. He is the most negative person I have ever met. From the moment he sits down, he begins complaining about anything and everything there is to do with the Cyclones. Steele Jantz is terrible, our defense can't tackle, James White needs to learn how to run the ball. (Albeit, this is coming from a early 30's dweeb who looks like he's never touched the football field) He complains soo much, that my wife turned to me this past Saturday and asked, "Do you think he will start criticizing the dance team and their routines?!?" (God love her)..
Let's fast forward to the 4th quarter of the Texas Tech game. After another turnover by the Cyclones, this guy loses it, and begins screaming, and worst of all, SPITTING on my wife. My sweet wife just grabbed a napkin with some Purell on it and rubbed the spit off her neck and head. I held my tongue, even though on the inside I wanted to unleash on this guy. Then with about 6:00 minutes left in the game, he proclaims to everyone, "THIS GAME IS OVER.. THIS TEAM SUCKS".. That's when I lost it. I turned and yelled to him, "THERE'S 6 MINUTES LEFT!" I was so angry that my wife had to hold me back from saying or doing something I would regret. So, after I turned around and startled him with my statement, he and his butt-buddy decided to leave. As they began to walk, I figured I would get 1 more parting shot, "TAKE YOUR NEGATIVE-*** TO IOWA CITY THEY NEED MORE FANS LIKE YOU!"

What I am trying to get at, is that my wife spent her hard earned money on these seats, and she;s not even a football fan, she just enjoys spending the day with me and having fun watching me act like a giddy school girl about my Cyclones. I am, like most others, a Cyclone through and through and it just isn't fair that this guy has to ruin my wife's Iowa State experience and the others sitting around him with his negative and childish antics..

Once again, sorry for my long rant, but it had to be said.

This was my first thought then I started to wonder which poster on here may be the debbie downer he sits next to.

Sorry, had to give you crap.

In all reality, there's gonna be negative people. My dad is one of them. I can't stand watching games with him when the team is losing. It is what it is, and some people have to yell their frustrations. That's the thing about watching a game in a stadium, you get one of every kind.

Good point, pictures would help visualize the situation.

That being said, those fans are in every section. Your wife will just have to purchase a suite next time and then you can invite who you want to the suite.
