Calm down frenchy, I just said hats off to CW and the CF family. This site has become something other schools are envious of. Sorry for not crediting the people who started the whole damn thing. I apologize for offending you so. I am sure it makes you feel so good to point out that CW didn't start CF. Please, since it is so important to you, can you give us an un-abridged history of CF?
put it into perspective, ISU has had crowds of 50,000 at most football games recently. A hundred or so people post a day. No idea about people who just view the posts on here. CF has given Cyclones fans a place to get in-depth coverage of programs here that Rivals didn't give people unless they paid money. You'll see there is a shift from the old pay-to-view content of sites like Rivals to sites like CF and HN.
There's a reason scout is pretty much dead and rivals is declining.
To say CF helps the athletic programs, sure, they help promote the teams here, but CF is a very MINOR part of ISU's fan base. There are lots of sites like CF around (example is HN and landthieves for OU, ShaggyBevo for TU).
Maybe somebody can help, but was the ISU rivals site that as popular as this when CF didn't exist?
Cyclone Fanatic has had absolutely no role what so ever. Its the ******* internet people.
Not sure if serious....
Probably more of a link the other way....Role of ISU's growing on-court/field success in CF's success.
Not as many people want to talk about flat-lining programs.
HAHAHAHAHAHA..... this can't be serious.
message board fan does not represent the fan base as a whole what so ever. those of us that post here, elsewhere, and consume as much ISU content as possible are going to games and supporting the team regardless. The average fan would likely read a lot of what's on boards like this one after a win or loss and ask themselves "WTF is wrong with these people?"
It is the product on the field, Paul Rhoads, and the work of the ISU athletic department (namely JP) that we can attribute 100% of ISU's "recent success" to. They are the ones who have brought the fans out and gotten them excited about the future of our football program. Most certainly not Williams, paul clark, WRNL, or any other ISU "media". They are all the benefactors of the success, but are by no means responsible for it.
I vote to eliminate CyByAssociation
I wish there was stats about this kind of stuff. I bet this site received a lot more traffic then usual right after the Ok St. (last year) game rather then the loss to Oklahoma game this year.
Final Vote count:
1 - CyByAssociation (ISUCubswin 9:40)
Everyone else is on clap watch. CyBy is going home tonight.
I will post results in a bit.
