Role of CycloneFanatic in ISU's recent success?

I personally think it interesting that since CF was founded we have seen fan excitement and attendance has increased dramatically Obviously, CF started about the same time as JP, so much gratitude to JP for all the work he has done to get ISU to this point. Still, I wonder if CF has helped it along and to what extent.

So often we here about all the bad about message boards, but lets face it that these are fans talking about their team. CF provides a central place for Cyclone fans to go and build a community where before the fan base was all over the place. Uniting the fans has been the benefit I think.

At the very least, it has allowed me to keep up with ISU news down here in Texas. Without this site, I'd have no idea what was going on in regards to the athletes except for what the announcers on TV were telling me.

Has to have helped. Cyclone fans have a place to get info, and every Clone here knows that there's an enthusiastic bunch of Cyclone fans out there, so they aren't the only ones. It's a lot easier to be a fan when you know there are other ones.

Sorry, the population of CF is a fraction of those in Jack Trice on gameday. No, I'm not going to look up the # of members on CF and subtract the out-of-staters, trolls, etc. But I think the rise of the Cyclone fanbase correlates more closely to the arrival of Paul Rhoads. After all, CF existed P.C. (Pre-Chizik)

I absolutely think its played a part. Are CF members just a portion of the fanbase? Sure. But they are the fans that bring other fans, the fans that help push the momentum in the rest of the fanbase. The Fanatics.

Hell, without CF i'm sure a lot of people here wouldve completely checked out of cyclone athletics during the mcdermott era.

I was just saying what CW has done for this site adding more content and a site upgrade (with help of others) is similar to upgrade the FB has made under CPR. WTF is your deal?
