The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

Ya Karl Rove and Donald Trump are just embarrassing themselves and their parties.

The BCS? Oh, wait, they're fixing that. Never mind. I've got nothing.

That and Obama didn't win as big as he did in 2008, so he's obviously a failure, and that the electoral college is bogus (an argument I don't remember them making when W lost the popular vote in 2000). Oh, FNC...

I get the feeling that there will be a lot of groaning the next 4 years. Whether that will just be republicans or all of America is yet to be determined.

I've heard Jan 2014. Some say that it could create a fight leading the way to the Supreme Court, but the news is noting that that's unlikely since it was decided on a popular vote of the state. Could be interesting, since it's illegal federally. So basically, the state will say you can have it, but the federal gov't could still bust you for it. Very reminiscent of alcohol prohibition.

I sure hope not; people groaned like hell during these past 4 years, and it hasn't done us a damned bit of good. I'll be optimistic and say that tonight forces us to truly put our differences aside, find common ground, and get some **** done for a change.

Sorry, but this made me laugh. What evidence makes you think this will happen?

I imagine that the Obama administration would instruct his FBI and Justice Department not to use any resources investigate/prosecute people possessing small amounts of weed (if they even do anyways). He did something similar with the Defense of Marriage Act; when states started passing laws and constitutional amendments supporting marriage equality, Obama told the Justice Department not to bother defending DOMA anymore.

I never said I have any; it's just my hope. As to evidence suggesting that all of the ******** over the past 4 years hasn't done a damned bit of good for the country (Tea Party, Mitch McConnell, etc.), there's plenty.

I find it hard to believe that anyone votes for Obama in Iowa. What's going on with you guys?
